Things to remember if you are looking for a life-partner from India

	We all are coming from culture-oriented family but arrange marriage is not depending merely on LUCK, you have to check, know person very well. In early days we didn't have that much choices and even communication was also not that easy and affordable. Before very few professional people were used to go abroad but now things have been changed. Life style in US and UK has changed significantly. New generation is now matured and ready to get marriage. Now they are not an Indian but they call "American-Indian". 	Family Reference: Most important thing is to go through the references, use your family and friends to check the person's background, behavior, his/her choices and other important information.
	Life in India: Life in India are similar to all other country except people are very social, community oriented. Some people are very rich, has everything their life styler probably much easier and comfortable. Some are very well educated and self motivated. Lifestyle is depend on which part of country you go. Lets say in Bombay city, life is very fast, now almost everybody has to work. Life is very modern, you will get everything at cost. Shopping mall, Restaurant, food, high rise buildings, traffic you name it. If you decided to go smaller city, life may not be that smooth, again it may varies from place to place. If you decide to settle in India I would say please visit first, stay for while and than make decision. In other words life may not be like aboard.
	Education: Check person's education, don't hesitate to ask person's degree certificates. There is no need to take their words granted unless you know this person from his childhood.
	Business: If person has his own business or store in India than please call and verify it. You can do this through your family members or friends. India still you will see join family concept. Join family stay together and run business also together.
	Job: If person is working for some company then verify it, you can work for big company but not doing as totally white collar job. Less qualified persons are also making good money compare to Doctors and Engineers. In short ask what person what exactly he is doing.
	Legal Status: If you are Green card holder or USA citizen or similar foreign citizenship check with local immigration department about your stay in India. Also make sure with Indian consulate how long you can stay in India and what is the procedure to get long term visa. Also check how much time it will take to bring your Indian spouse to USA or UK. Generally time varies from one year to 4 years.
	Smartness: Something which you can see on spot. Generally people have different image for Indian who come from aboard. If possible tryo get some more inforamtion about culture, about place and most important languge. As I said earlier in India people are very social and culture oriented. Take your own time to make any decision.
	If you have any problem with Non vegetarian eater, drink or smoke then you should verify that. Well, the answer depends on person's honesty.
	Try to find out person's living style ,his nature, his likes and dislikes.
